Aim:

The goal of this project was to implement a system that would
enable the Sales Team of a large confectionary firm to update their daily sales records via SMS messages.

This application employed 2 way SMS messages. The sales officers of the organization have been provided with a means of updating their daily sales details via 2 way SMS messages. The system also provides an option of sending the weekly sales details based on product category. The system would collate the sales details received from all the SO's in the form of an Excel sheet. These details would then be forwarded to the respective department heads. A similar application has been developed for collating the category-wise weekly sales details. Validations have been incorporated into the application to prevent invalid users for updating data, checking data integrity and informing SO's to send data in case of them not sending the data within the stipulated time.

An admin module have been developed that would enable the administrator of the system to maintain an employee hierarchy table. The admin module also encompassed the functionality to send the excel sheets in the form of an email to the respective department heads.
